Dr Richard Shortt is Executive Manager Civil Security, IDSAL, based in Australia. He was previously Strategy and Liaison Manager, Organised and Financial Crime Agency of New Zealand (OFCANZ), an agency within the New Zealand Police (2008-11), Combined Threat Assessment Group Manager (New Zealand Police/New Zealand Security Intelligence Service) (2004-08), and national security policy advisor (Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet) (2002-04). He holds a PhD in policing and security from Charles Sturt University.
