Andrew Little New Zealand’s Minister for the Public Service, and Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations, Minister of Defence, Minister of Immigration, Minister Responsible for the GCSB, and NZSIS, and Lead Coordination Minister for the Government’s Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into the Terrorist Attack on the Christchurch Mosques.

Little studied law, philosophy and public policy at Victoria University of Wellington, where he was elected president of the VUW Students’ Association, later serving as New Zealand Union of Students’ Associations (NZUSA) president in 1988 and 1989. He was the national secretary of the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union (EPMU), and was President of the Labour Party from 2009 to 2011. He entered Parliament in 2011 as a list MP, and served as the Leader of the New Zealand Labour Party from 18 November 2014 until 1 August 2017.
