Hanwha Techwin rebrands as Hanwha Vision, expands offerings to vision solutions

Video surveillance solutions manufacturer Hanwha Techwin has today announced a change of name to Hanwha Vision as the company looks to expand its offerings.


Through this expansion, Hanwha Vision plans to go beyond its video surveillance products to provide next-generation vision solutions that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technologies which deliver insights into customers’ business operations while driving global market innovation.

“By building on our core competitiveness through innovation, we will continue to alleviate our customers’ pain points while adding new value with advanced vision solutions,” said Soon-hong Ahn, President and CEO of Hanwha Vision.

“As we expand our business from surveillance monitoring and post-event analysis, we will provide customised information through big data analytics and actionable solutions that not only prevent incidents but also respond to them in real time. Our new vision solutions will be instrumental in advancing customer’s operational strategies,” Ahn added.

In line with this development, Hanwha Vision will gradually roll out the rebranding of its overseas subsidiaries, products and solutions, based on market conditions.

Founded as Samsung Techwin, Hanwha Vision is a video surveillance company and a subsidiary of Hanwha Group. The company is headquartered in South Korea.

Hanwha Vision has been a leading global video surveillance manufacturer of world-class optical design, image processing and cybersecurity technologies for more than 30 years. As it broadens its business, it plans to deliver more valuable and meaningful insights to customers by providing big data analytics utilising AI and cloud technologies.
