Hon Heather Roy is director and principal of TorquePoint Limited and Black Swans Limited, and a former New Zealand politician who served as an ACT Party Member of Parliament from 2002 until 2011. From 2006 until 17 August 2010, she was ACT’s Deputy Leader. Between 2008 and 2010 she served as Minister of Consumer Affairs and Associate Minister of Defence and Associate Minister of Education, retiring from Parliament at the 2011 general election. Ms Roy is a professional director and Chair of the New Zealand Advertising Standards Authority and Utilities Disputes Ltd (formerly the Electricity and Gas Complaints Commissioner Scheme), and she is a former commissioned officer in the New Zealand Army Reserve.
