Dahua launches touchless access solution offering touchless access, lightweight system, and simplified installation.
With the advent of wireless technology, access control is rapidly shifting towards mobile options. According to data shared by the International Security Journal, “convenience” is the main driver of mobile access control adoption in the world.
In line with this global trend, Dahua recently launched a touchless access solution consists of Insider Series devices that offers touchless access, lightweight system, and simplified installation, providing great convenience and security to system installers and end users.
Implementing an efficient access control is a massive challenge for small and medium-sized scenario applications. Traditional access control that uses physical cards or keys is troublesome, especially for those who often lose/forget their access cards. It also often comes with complicated systems and additional platforms that require extra configuration. Also, installation can be difficult due to the complex wirings for power, network, etc., which adversely affects the overall cost of the system deployment.
The Insider Series Access Control Solution is tailored to address these problems. This solution offers touchless access (via Bluetooth) using the DMSS mobile app.
It has three distance modes (short-range: 0-20cm; mid-range: 1-2m; long-range: 2-10m) and 2 trigger modes (normal, shake). Notably, the card number generated from the Bluetooth card request on the Dcloud platform is unique and encrypted, providing convenience and guaranteeing security at the same time.
The solution is also equipped with an access control management platform that provides web-centric operation and eliminates the need for additional platform configuration. It supports one main controller and 19 sub controllers, allowing access to up to 1,000 users and 40 doors. This lightweight system offers user management, access control device management, and global alarm linkage, as well as real-time monitoring of access control status, reporting of event information, and remote controlling of doors.
The system’s web controller supplies power to both locks and readers through PoE, which reduces cabling costs. The system can also generate a hardware interface diagram to effectively guide wiring and simplify construction for installers.
