Today sees the launch of a new online news service for the international border management sector. In what is described as a sector first, Border Management will host articles relevant to border management and security professionals across the world.
“We are extremely proud to be launching Border Management,” stated managing editor Nicholas Dynon. “The border management sector has long deserved its own dedicated source of information and analysis, and after a long wait it now has it.”
Linking practitioners
According to its New Zealand-based publishers, Defsec Media, the new platform aims to contribute to international border management best practice by linking government with business solutions and academic analysis across the border management ecosystem.
It’s a diverse ecosystem, which includes Government border management authorities (customs, border control, aviation security, law enforcement, immigration and visa processing), private solutions providers to government, ports, multi-lateral government and non-government organisations, universities and border and migration policy research centres.
“There’s massive scope within the sector for better information and ideas sharing between the public sector, private sector solutions providers and academic thought leaders,” added Nicholas, himself a 19-year border management stalwart. “Border Management will bring these strands together.”
“We are very honoured to have entered into a strategic partnership with the International Border Management & Technologies Association, and we look forward to working together with IBMATA to progress our mutual aims”, he said.
