Shortlist of finalists for the 2023-24 Women in Security Awards Aotearoa a who’s who of women in defence, law enforcement, and security who have gone above and beyond to protect New Zealanders.
The New Zealand Security Sector Network (NZSSN) has today announced the finalists in the 2023-24 Women in Security Awards Aotearoa. The shortlist features a cohort of high performing professionals from leading organisations across defence, policing, border security, cyber and information security, and private security.
According to the announcement on LinkedIn, it is expected that category winners will be announced by the end of April.
“We’re incredibly inspired by the quality and diversity of this year’s Women in Security Awards Aotearoa finalists,” said WiSAA co-founder Andrew Thorburn. “With finalists representing so many domains across national, public, and private security, their stories provide humbling insights into the service of women across the security spectrum.”

In accordance with the WiSAA’s policy of non-sponsorship, category winners will be announced online via the New Zealand Security Sector Network LinkedIn account and promoted online via Defsec New Zealand publications Line of Defence Magazine and New Zealand Security Magazine.
In the absence of a gala awards event, certificates will be sent to winners and finalists will be distributed via email and – where possible – individually in person.
